Mirai Taste Successfully Hosted Its First Japanese Calligraphy Workshop in Yanaka, Tokyo
We are very happy to share that our first Mirai Taste in-person event was a success!
On August 8, in the middle of Japan’s hot summer season, we welcomed lovely guests from all over the world, including Spain, France, Australia, Japan, and more, for a special Japanese calligraphy workshop in Yanaka, Tokyo.
The workshop took place in a beautiful 70-year-old traditional Japanese house in Yanaka Ginza, one of Tokyo’s most nostalgic neighborhoods. Surrounded by the scent of tatami, warm wooden interiors, and the atmosphere of a real Japanese summer, our guests were able to experience Japanese culture in a calm and meaningful way.

A Japanese Cultural Experience in Yanaka
This event was more than just a calligraphy lesson.
Guests had the opportunity to discover the beauty of shodō, Japanese calligraphy, while learning from our wonderful calligraphy teacher, Kumiko-sensei.
Inside the traditional Japanese home, participants enjoyed a peaceful cultural moment where they could write, feel, smile, and create their own original calligraphy artwork to take home.
The venue also had a Japanese sweets shop downstairs, adding even more charm to the experience. The combination of calligraphy, tatami, wagashi, and Yanaka’s nostalgic atmosphere made the event feel like a true Japanese cultural experience.
Sharing Japanese Culture with the World
At Mirai Taste, our goal is to share the beauty of Japan with people around the world.
Through this first workshop, we were able to connect with guests from different countries and create a warm space where Japanese culture could be experienced through all the senses.
We want to thank everyone who joined us on this special day. Your smiles, curiosity, and kindness made this first event unforgettable.
